This policy explains how Medurance handles your personal data.
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Medurance Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India, having its registered office at Sector 35, Shipra Path, Mansarovar, Jaipur – 302020, Rajasthan, India (“Medurance”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”), collects, uses, stores, processes, discloses, and protects information provided by users (“You”, “Your” or “User”) through its mobile application “Medurance” and other related digital platforms (collectively referred to as the “Platform”).
Medurance is the owner and operator of the Platform and the author and publisher of all content and digital resources made available through it. The Platform facilitates assistance in health insurance claims settlement and related services.
1. Legal Compliance
This Policy is published in compliance with, inter alia:
- Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000;
- Rule 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (“SPDI Rules”); and
- Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as amended from time to time.
2. Acceptance of Privacy Policy
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Platform or Services, You:
- confirm that You have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy;
- expressly consent to the collection, use, storage, processing, and disclosure of Your information as described herein; and
- agree to be legally bound by this Policy and the applicable Terms of Use available on the Google Play Store / Apple App Store.
If You do not agree with any part of this Policy, please do not use the Platform or provide any information.
If You use the Platform on behalf of another individual or entity, You represent that You are duly authorised to accept this Policy and provide consent on their behalf.
3. Definitions
- “Personal Information” means any information relating to a natural person which, directly or indirectly, is capable of identifying such person, as defined under the SPDI Rules.
- “Sensitive Personal Data or Information” shall have the meaning assigned to it under the SPDI Rules.
- “Services” means services provided through the Platform relating to health insurance claims assistance and related support.
4. Information We Collect
4.1 Information Provided by You
- Full name
- Contact details (mobile number, email address)
- Residential or correspondence address
- Identification or KYC-related details (where legally required)
- Insurance-related information necessary for claim assistance
- Third-party login credentials or profile information (e.g., Google, Facebook), subject to their privacy policies
4.2 Automatically Collected Information
- IP address
- Device information (device ID, operating system, browser type)
- Log data and usage patterns
- Date, time, and duration of access
- App interaction and behavioural data
4.3 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to:
- improve Platform functionality;
- personalise user experience; and
- analyse usage trends.
You may disable cookies through your device or browser settings; however, certain features of the Platform may become unavailable.
5. Purpose of Collection and Use
Your information is collected and used for the following purposes:
- to provide, operate, and improve the Services;
- to assist in health insurance claims processing and settlement;
- to communicate with You regarding Your account or Services;
- to comply with legal and regulatory obligations;
- to prevent fraud, unauthorised access, or misuse; and
- to conduct internal analytics and research.
6. Disclosure and Sharing of Information
We may disclose Your information:
- to insurers, TPAs, hospitals, or service providers strictly for claim assistance purposes;
- to third-party vendors performing services on Our behalf under confidentiality obligations;
- where required by law, court order, or governmental authority; or
- to protect Our rights, users, or public safety.
We do not sell or rent Your Personal Information to third parties.
7. Data Security Practices
We implement reasonable security practices and procedures, including technical, administrative, and physical safeguards, to protect Your information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration.
However, no system is completely secure, and We cannot guarantee absolute security of Your information transmitted over the internet.
8. User Choices and Rights
You may:
- access, update, or correct Your Personal Information;
- withdraw consent by discontinuing use of the Platform (subject to legal obligations);
- request deletion of information, unless retention is required by law.

10. Disclaimer
- transmission of data over the internet carries inherent risks; and
- Medurance shall not be liable for unauthorised disclosures beyond its reasonable control.
You use the Platform at Your own risk.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Medurance, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of:
- Your violation of this Policy;
- disclosure of information by You to third parties; or
- misuse of the Platform.
12. Severability
If any provision of this Policy is held invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
13. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on the Platform with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
